Yagmur Bahram was born in 1989, in Erbil, Iraq. He completed his elementary, secondary and post-secondary education in Canada. He graduated with his BA degree in Political Science from McMaster University in 2011. In 2013, he earned his MSC degree in International Relations from Girne American University (GAU) with the thesis entitled “The Influence of the evolution of International Relations Theories on Global Environmental Conventions: The case of Persistent Organic Pollutants”, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Işıksal. He is currently enrolled in PHD in Political Science and International Relations department at Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi (Yıldız Technical University), in İstanbul, Turkey. He is able to speak fluently, write in Turkish, and academically write in English. He has volunteering many positions, from teaching kids to read during summer programs to welcoming and helping new immigrants getting used to their new locations in Canada. His main research interests are International Relations Theories, Global Environmental Politics and Iraqi Turkmen issues.
