Istanbul Kent University’s Political Science and Public Administration (English) department chair and International Political Academy (UPA) founder Prof. Ozan Örmeci and Prof. Herbert Reginbogin from the Catholic University of America edited a new volume on Turkish-American relations. The book is published by famous international publisher Lexington Books and is entitled Turkish-American Relations in the 21st Century. While the book’s Foreword section is written by former American diplomat Matt Bryza, Professor Hasret Çomak, Professor Mustafa Aydın, and Soner Cagaptay wrote comments for the back cover of the book. In addition, the book’s editors wrote the Introduction and Conclusion parts.

The book, which consists of 360 pages, analyzes all aspects of Turkish-American relations. The book is divided into 4 parts and comprises 17 chapters. In the first part, the historical background of Turkish-American relations is analyzed in 4 separate chapters written by Füsun Türkmen, Murat Kasapsaraçoğlu, Ozan Örmeci, and Helin Sarı Ertem. In the second part of the book, current problems are studied with 4 original chapters written by important experts including Herbert Reginbogin, Cansu Arısoy Gedik, Yavuz Türkgenci, and Gürol Baba. In the third part of the book, in 4 separate chapters, experts analyzed key areas and issues in bilateral relations. The authors of the part are Matus Jevcak, Elnur Ismayil, Özker Kocadal, and Oğuzhan Göksel. The last part of the book focuses on preparing a road map for the future of Turkish-American relations and consists of 5 original chapters. The authors who contributed to this part are Mark Meirowitz, Şebnem Udum, Güven Sak and Feride İnan, Alan Makovsky, and Richard Outzen. The book contains an index section and a section that provides detailed information about the editors and contributors in the last pages.
