REVIVING AN ANCIENT ROUTE: THE ROLE OF THE BAKU-TBILISI-KARS RAILWAY

Though the initial idea about the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway project was raised in the early 1990s, it was not taken seriously due to regional instability and economic difficulties. However, with the realization of the
