Dr. Marian Karagyozov graduated from the Faculty of Law of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He also has a degree in Middle Eastern Studies from New Bulgarian University, Sofia. He holds a PhD from the Institute of Balkan Studies – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Currently, he works as a political scientist at the same Institute. Marian Karagyozov has experience as a media practitioner as well, including positions as a correspondent of the Bulgarian National Radio in Istanbul (2017 – 2020 г.) and editor-in-chief of not-for-profit UNA News Bulgaria website. He has authored a monograph on Turkish foreign policy, scholarly articles, and book chapters devoted to the problems of Turkish domestic and foreign policy, and the Balkans.
