A NEW EDITED BOOK ON TURKISH-AMERICAN RELATIONS: HISTORICAL EXAMINATIONS AND CURRENT ISSUES IN TURKISH-AMERICAN RELATIONS

Istanbul Gedik University Political Science and Public Administration department staff and UPA (International Political Academy) Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Ozan Örmeci and Cyprus Near East University International Relations department staff Prof. Hüseyin Işıksal edited a new academic book called Historical Examinations and Current Issues in Turkish-American Relations on Turkish-American relations. 390 pages book is published by Switzerland-based international publisher Peter Lang. The Foreword part of the book is written by Turkey’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs (2002-2003) Mr. Yaşar Yakış. The book consists of 3 parts and 15 original chapters.

While the book is aimed at improving Turkish-American relations which is not at its best stage in the last years, authors of the book frankly discussed the problematic aspects of the bilateral relations as well. Two American and a Bahraini scholar also contributed to the book. Editors of the book underlined that they wanted to publish the most comprehensive and updated work on Turkish-American relations.
